One of the boys that goes into the group is Isaac that has cancer in his eyes and goes with a friend called Agustus Waters who is in love with Hazel. They love each other. Dhuoda lived in the 9th century in Provence but she was not born there, she was born in a Germanic country. She was the Marchioness of Septimania and Countess of Barcelona. When her husband took her sons, William and Bernard, who were still boys, she wrote them a beautiful book, to mitigate her pain and so they would be educated according to her wishes. This book, written between the year 841 and 843, has made her famous.
